Weekly Drawing Sessions

After Labor Day, weekly drawing sessions will be held from 1-4pm each Sunday in our workshop space at 124 S. Main St. The model fee is $6 and the sessions are open to all artists, at all levels of skill. Models are clothed and the focus is on portraiture, with poses of various duration throughout the evening. There is no instruction, but these sessions provide regional artists the opportunity to work alongside MAE resident artists as they do drawings from live models.

Drawings from these drawing sessions by MAE resident artists are available for sale in the exhibition space at 124 S. Main St., open Thursday and Friday from 2-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm.

If you are interested in modeling for a drawing session, please click here to send us a photo and contact info. Models of all ages are welcome, as long as they can hold still for at least 20 minutes at a time, and do so repeatedly for three hours. Models are paid $10 and hour.
